Methane gas is derived through anaerobic digestion processes used by many food processors, landfills, waste treatment facilities, and livestock farms. To produce Biogas, methane gas first needs to be purified by removing the hydrogen sulfide(H2S). Once the H2S is efficiently and economically removed, the methane can then be reused for power generation.
Eco-Tec provides an economical system that effectively removes H2S from methane gas, and converts it into an elemental sulfur by-product. The by-product is non-hazardous and can be disposed of safely with biosolids, as a fertilizer or in a landfill. Using patented technology, the Biogas Scrubbing system can improve the economic feasibility of energy recovery by reducing maintenance and operating costs biogas handling.
